Health Kick Big CheckKicking for Miracles for Women & Children’s Hospital

Similar to a walk-a-thon or a dance-a-thon, Kicking for Miracles is a board break-a-thon. Students of all ages and belt ranks ask friends, family, and neighbors to pledge donations in recognition of the student’s skill and effort at the event. On the day of the event, students break boards with a variety of Tae Kwon Do kicks, punches and strikes. One hundred percent of the profits from the event are donated to Women and Children’s Hospital.

Since it’s inception in 1995 (known then as Health Kick), Master Chong’s Tae Kwon has raised over $600,000 to benefit the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.

“The experience,” says Grandmaster Chong “is good for the community and students alike. The spirit of Tae Kwon Do is to develop oneself physically, mentally, and spiritually. As instructors, we then encourage our students to apply their increased abilities into their daily lives. Kicking for Miracles is an excellent example of that philosophy put into action. Students of all ages realize how their combined efforts can make a tremendously positive impact on the lives of others.”

Health Kick ProgramsOne hundred percent of the profits are donated to the Children’s Miracle Network to distribute to children's hospitals throughout the country. Children's Miracle Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children’s hospitals across America.
